I'm just starting so I still need to get all of my Brit loadout, but is anyone going from South Wales, it would make my life alot easier!
Steiner - can you pull my name off the list. I can't make haggard, I may not even be in England lol
Three GZ regulars reporting for duty, first time out in WW2 Im afraid but very willing learners,
I am trying to kit up US Airborne and my two buddies would like to help out as Partisans.
OK, Snake-eyes. As mentioned in the initial post, there are not many partisan spaces up for grabs, but if they know their way around the site, then we can probably fit them in. What are their names, btw? I'm guessing you guys all know Neill Blume ?

Hi there, new to the forum and ww2 airsoft but I've been playing conventional airsoft for several years. Any space for US airborne?
Yes plenty of space mate. List updated. (And welcome!) ![]()

I'm hoping to attend this game, I like the Ground Zero site (been to two weekenders) and the running of the site is excellent. I'm a bit of an old dog as far as airsoft is concerned but totally new to the WW2 side of things. I'm going to sign up for the axis force only because I've got a german helmet! I've also got a de-activated MP34 but that's not much use at an airsoft game. I've ordered a cheapsoft mp40 with bakalite furniture, which I've been assured looks quite good.
GZ have stated they are happy with a black jump suit as a starter loadout, but in which direction should I go for a loadout after this? I just want a plain and simple grunt look. probably cos of my age I'd be around the sargent status but I'll never be officer material ![]()
As I live and therefore skirmish in Northen Europe, that's the look I'd probably most want. I must apologise for my lack of knowledge in the subject but this "Oporation Haggard" has really sparked a new interest for me. I'll be going to the War and Peace show later in the month so I want to know what to start looking for. Any advice greatly appreciated.

Edit: I have a set of Alpenflage, does that resemble anything of the period (apart from a pavement pizza Lol)

Hi there, ZB. Glad to hear you're interested in Op Haggard. With respect, it is not GZ who are deciding on kit requirements - we are renting the site from them, and the kit requirements are in the initial post on this section of the forum.
Please ask if you need further guidance.
Yes, the MP40 is a great weapon - I've skirmished mine many times with no problems at all. ![]()

I just checked out Alpenflage on google and.... yes, it does look like that!!
What size are you? I have a spare Flecktarn set which "counts as" Waffen SS camo, if you'd like to borrow it for this event?

Thanks for the offers but Steiner I took your advise and read through All the info at the beginning of the topic.
I've got some Flectarn gear, but no trousers, would black or gey be a suitable replacement?
The info I was after was more of a where do I go from here type thing, but I think the best way to answer that will be to have a chat with all you guys at the event.

Flecktarn top with grey trousers would be OK for the event. Little things like belt, y-straps and gaiters make a big difference (all of which I have spare to borrow). However, if you are wanting to buy now...
...my advice is always to get a set of Feldgrau (field grey tunic and trousers) - from there, you can build on that to do a variety of impressions. Try sending a PM to The Reich Stuff (aka Anthony) on this forum, who is a kit supplier. You already have a helmet and a weapon, which are the more expensive items. Other essentials would be belt and buckle, and canvas gaiters (worn with short boots - unless you've already got jackboots!).
I think the other main decision you need to make (which affects the insignia you need) is whether you want to be Heer (army) or Waffen SS. Feel free to PM me if you have any questions. ![]()

Please Note: - I am not going to Haggard, I have already had my name removed from the pre-booking list.
thank you
Oops, sorry forgot mate!
In any case, that was meant in general, no just for Haggard.
